A Night at Monte Carlo

Due to this event taking place on the annual Scottish Cup Final Day in May, Falkirk FC had to avoid taking part in the final itself, due to the large volume of supporters and backroom staff who would be attending.

Over 200 guests supported this function which was held at the Leapark Hotel in Grangemouth in aid of a very worthwhile cause Strathcarron Hospice. The evening kicked-off with champagne being served on arrival and while the guests chatted away the jazz band played away softly in the background. Others chose to dabble away on the casino table’s looking totally relaxed and enjoying themselves. It’s amazing the amount of ladies once they get a hold of these tables showed a true determination to win.

A wonderful banquet was provided by the hotel and it appeared certain table members managed to wade through the selection of quality food on offer on more than one occasion! The evening finished off with the audience dancing away to the sounds of local band “Mid Life Crisis” who played a wide variety of music from the 60’s to present.

A fabulous sum of £5,000 was raised on the night for Strathcarron Hospice, and I certainly feel proud to be part of Falkirk Round Table when you see the worthwhile charities we continually support.  As I often mention, I only wish I had joined the wonderful society earlier, and would encourage any potential new member to come along and witness what is on offer.
