Charter Dinner
Friday 18th November 2011
On Friday 18th November 125 tablers and their guests gathered at the Park Hotel Falkirk to celebrate Falkirk Round Tables 61st Charter Dinner.
The evening kicked-off with a fabulous 5 course meal before Chairman Jim Yule reported on the healthy state of Falkirk Round Table and what we have been up to over the last year.
There was a special presentation of our 60th Anniversary book to William Gordon Watson who at 88 was the oldest past member in attendance.
The guests were thoroughly entertained by after dinner toasts from past member David Barclay, Gordon Sherry and Peter Brown.
Top prizes for the evening included golf at Gleneagles, autographed Falkirk, Rangers, and Hearts football shirts and a Falkirk FC golf bag plus a round of golf for the winner playing with Falkirk captain Tam Scobbie.
Every guest was presented with a commemorative Falkirk Round Table 61st Charter Dinner beer.
We raised £ 2,500 on the evening which will be split between Children in Need and The Little Lucie Flynn Fund.
Falkirk Round Table wishes to pass on their thanks to all that attended and made the evening the huge success it was and we look forward to hopefully seeing you all again at our 62nd Charter Dinner on Friday 9th November 2012.
